How it works

Why is my text file empty?

The PDF is probably a scan. Run it through OCR PDF first to recognise the text.

Are my files uploaded?

No. PDF to text runs entirely in your browser, so your files never leave your device. It even works offline once the page has loaded.

Is it free?

Yes, completely: no limits, no watermark, no sign-up and no ads.
