Questions

Why didn’t my file get much smaller?

Most of a PDF’s size is usually photos. If a file is mostly text, or its images are already compressed, there’s little left to remove. Try Strong, or Scans for scanned paperwork.

Is strong compression really free?

Yes. Every level is free, with no daily limit. Plenty of sites keep strong compression for paying users.

Will compression remove my password?

Yes. Compressing a protected file needs the password and saves an unprotected copy. Use Protect PDF afterwards to add a password again.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Compress PDF runs entirely in your browser, so your files never leave your device. It even works offline once the page has loaded.

Is it free?

Yes, completely: no limits, no watermark, no sign-up and no ads.
